Tijs Akkerman Bio

Tijs grew up in the north in an entrepreneurial family. During his studies in Business Economics at the University of Groningen, his interest in economic and financial developments further expanded. His career in investments began with a corporate finance internship at ABN AMRO, after which he worked for four years at Rabo Securities as a Senior Associate, both in the Amsterdam office and temporarily in New York. To experience the direct responsibility and consequences of deals, he transitioned to Rabo Private Equity. There, he worked in the buy-out team until he was involved in the founding of Nordian in 2014. Just like in his youth in Friesland, Tijs still enjoys skating and sailing, and he loves spending time in the mountains with his family.
