Thomas Nolan Bio

Thomas Nolan is a Partner at NMS, having joined the firm in 2020. Thomas works across the NMS portfolio and is primarily responsible for supporting our portfolio companies to drive operational improvement and growth by partnering with management teams. He has more than 12 years of middle market private equity experience supporting companies and partnering with senior management teams. Prior to joining NMS, Thomas was an Operating Director at Berkshire Partners, LLC from 2008 to 2020. He led numerous strategic projects across a variety of industries, including healthcare, distribution, industrial manufacturing, retail, and consumer goods. Prior to joining Berkshire, Thomas held a number of operating roles at Circuit City and Capital One Financial. He also worked as COO of Heritage Union, a start-up life insurance company. Earlier in his career, Thomas was a consultant at Bain & Company and a market development engineer at GE. Thomas received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1990.
