Maritza Liaw Bio

Maritza serves as Partner for NGP, where she leads growth equity investments in the firm’s portfolio companies. Maritza has held leadership positions in both operating and investing companies—all pursuing environmental sustainability. As an operator, she developed utility-scale wind energy projects and merchant transmissions in Montana and Alberta, Canada. She also served as CFO on an eco-friendly home construction company utilizing sustainably sourced materials and energy-efficiency technologies. Maritza started her career with the Boston Consulting Group, and prior to joining NGP in 2021, she was a Partner with the Kleiner Perkins’ Green Growth Fund. Maritza earned dual B.A. and B.S. degrees from Stanford University and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar.
