Jill Wallis Bio

James joined NGP in 2017 and serves as Partner of the NGP funds and member of the NGP Investment Committee. He has invested extensively throughout the energy value chain and concentrates primarily on sourcing, executing and monitoring NGP’s energy transition related investment opportunities. Previously, James was a Managing Director with Lime Rock Partners, which he joined in 2007. Prior to Lime Rock, he worked in the energy investing banking groups of Merrill Lynch and Petrie Parkman & Co. James received a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the Business Honors Program.
