Giulia Guidi Bio

Giulia joined NextEnergy Capital as an ESG Senior Advisor in 2017 after 10 years as an Executive Director in Global Risk Management at J.P. Morgan Chase. Giulia has been the Head of ESG at NextEnergy Capital since 2019 and is also a Trustee of the NextEnergy Foundation. With strong ESG risk management expertise for project finance, capital markets and lending transactions, including green bonds, Giulia also has a deep and extended knowledge of key ESG trends and agenda for the energy sector. In her previous role at J.P. Morgan, Giulia was responsible for the implementation of the ESG Risk Policy and she performed ESG due diligence over 1000 transactions. Prior to that, she worked at the Export Credit Guarantee Agency, managing E&S risk for major project finance transactions in the energy and industrial sectors. Giulia is well recognized in the industry for her positive contributions in Board-level positions: she is currently a Board member of Solar Energy UK and a member of the Coordination Group of the Solar Stewardship Initiative. Through these positions, Giulia is cementing NextEnergy Capital's leadership in the sustainability agenda for the solar sector. Giulia also acted as a member of the Advisory Group of the OECD Responsible Business Conduct and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Cross Sector Biodiversity Initiative.
