Ray Thaler Bio

Ray Thaler, Director, joined New Mountain Capital in 2023 and brings a track record of growing Private Equity backed tech-enabled companies. Most recently, he was an EVP at Cloudmed where he led strategy and M&A, including the execution of a successful combination to join R1. As a VP at Cotiviti, Mr. Thaler pivoted the organization to increase technology investment that delivered new capabilities. And as a GM at Opendoor, he implemented operational improvements that drove growth in their largest markets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thaler was a Case Team Leader with Bain & Company, leading strategy, operational excellence, and private equity diligence in the healthcare, services, and technology industries. He began his career as an F-22 pilot and mission commander in the United States Air Force. Mr. Thaler earned an MBA from The Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University.
