John Jacobs Bio

John has been a partner at the firm since he joined in 2004. John is currently on the boards of two privately held portfolio companies, PTW Energy Services and Doolittle. John has also been a board member of a number of private and public companies. Prior to joining NCA, John spent 23 years in investment banking in New York and Seattle. For more than fifteen years John worked for Piper Jaffray & Company, ten of which he ran the firm’s global technology practice. Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, John worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City where he worked in the commercial bank as well as the investment bank. John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University and received a Masters of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
