Michelle Handy Bio

Michelle Handy is a senior managing director and chief investment officer of direct lending at Napier Park Global Capital. Michelle oversees the firm’s direct lending investment activities, including underwriting and portfolio management, and serves on the direct lending platform’s investment committee. Michelle became part of First Eagle in 2020 upon the firm’s acquisition of THL Credit, which she had joined in 2016. Previously, Michelle worked at GE Capital, where she held several roles in underwriting, portfolio management and workouts, ending her time there as the chief operating officer of GE Capital Americas’ workout function. Michelle earned a BS in finance and Spanish from Boston College and an MS in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
