Jim Soleymanlou Bio

Jim Soleymanlou is the Founder and Managing Partner of RainMakers, a private equity firm recognized as a pioneer in advising on complex and innovative transactions. Jim is responsible for the development of the firm and the execution of transactions. Prior to founding RainMakers in 2004, Jim held various positions in the interest rate and equity derivatives space. Jim began his career in 1988 working with Sophis and Société Générale CIB, developing trading and risk management models. From 1994 to 2003, he also held management positions at companies such as Opt4 Derivatives in Berkeley, California, as well as Login SA and SunGard in Paris, France. In 2003-04, Jim served as an expert witness for the French Ministry of Justice. Jim holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Paris VI and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
