George Stamas Bio

George Stamas currently serves as an Operating Partner on the Private Equity Investment Team. George is currently a Senior Partner of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Stamas held a variety of roles, including Senior Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Vice Chairman of Deutsche Banc Alex Brown, Inc., and Venture Partner of New Enterprise Associates. George is a partner and on the Boards of the Washington Capitals, the Washington Wizards, and the Baltimore Orioles, and he was a co-founder of the Washington/Baltimore Olympics 2012.
