Tim Carson Bio

Tim Carson joined Merit Management Group as Chief Financial Officer in 2024. He provides strategic leadership and planning to Merit and its managed companies. As a certified public accountant and CFO in several industries, Carson brings more than 30 years of financial and analytical expertise to the leadership team at Merit. In his role, he leverages his experience in planning and developing processes to refine and guide the policies of Merit and its companies. A collaborative leader and advisor, Carson mentors management at Merit companies, helping them achieve their financial objectives. Prior to joining Merit, Carson served as CFO at Mail Communications Group in Des Moines. His career as a CFO spans several industries, including healthcare, construction, automotive, and advertising. Earlier in his career, Carson was a certified public accountant at accounting firms in central Iowa. Carson received his BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University. He is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs and a founding member of the Des Moines Business Group.
