Jonathan Cosgrave Bio

Jonathan is a co-founder of Melior and has over 20 years of private equity investing and other relevant experience. Jonny led Melior’s 2022 investment in Salmon Software. Prior to Melior, Jonny worked for The Carlyle Group where he spent almost six years investing an Irish focussed fund (CCI). Jonathan was the co-head of Carlyle’s Irish team and sat on the Investment Screening Committee of CCI. He was a key member of the investment team and was or is currently a board director of the holding companies of Carroll Cuisine, Learning Pool, Lily O’Brien’s, McCauley, Sports Surgery Clinic and The City Bin Co. Prior to joining The Carlyle Group in 2014, Jonny was at Warburg Pincus for 10 years, where he invested in growth capital and buyout opportunities across Europe, predominantly in the healthcare sector, and also spent 3 years in the M&A team at J.P. Morgan in London. Jonathan holds a first-class honours degree (BSc) in Pharmacy from Trinity College, Dublin and a Diploma in Business & IT from the Smurfit School of Business at University College Dublin.
