Karen de Meza Bio

Karen joined Maven in April 2018 and is based in the Manchester office. She leads the portfolio team in the region with responsibility for supporting portfolio companies across the North of England including investments NPIF and GMLF. In the early part of her career Karen worked in Corporate Finance and for RBS in Specialised Lending covering the Yorkshire and Humberside region. She has held several executive finance roles in plc and privately-owned businesses, immediately prior to joining Maven she worked as a Group Finance Director for a group based in Altrincham, which held a portfolio of investments in the engineering services sector. Karen graduated from Manchester University with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, has a Business Masters’ Degree from IE Business School in Madrid and is a qualified business coach and NLP practitioner.
