Lisa Morkötter comes from a family of entrepreneurs and was involved in the family business from an early age. She completed her studies in economics and business administration with a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen. As part of her studies, she spent time abroad, mainly in London, Lima and São Paulo. Lisa Morkötter began her professional career in 2007 in the area of corporate governance, advising blue chips as well as SMEs in Switzerland on board composition, board processes and succession planning in particular. In 2010, she joined Helbling Corporate Finance AG, an M&A advisory firm for the middle market, where she was involved in a variety of M&A transactions as well as ready-for-exit strategy projects, for example for one of the largest logistics companies in Switzerland. After that, Lisa Morkötter worked as a project manager at UBS AG for corporate strategy and development, where she was involved in M&A and several strategy and performance optimization projects. In 2014, she joined a Swiss private equity firm backed by the third largest Swiss bank, focused on SME transactions in the DACH region. Lisa supported one of the most prominent exits in the Swiss SaaS space in 2018, of portfolio company Coresystems to SAP. In her role as Senior Deal Lead, Lisa Morkötter oversaw the buy-and-build strategy of CGS Management AG's portfolio companies and led add-on acquisitions in Germany and Portugal. In addition, she served as interim CFO and was responsible for operational business development and refinancing activities in several portfolio companies. As part of the deal team at Unigestion SA, she gained an in-depth understanding of the LPs' perspective and was head of syndication and established a new syndication process for co-investments together with LPs. Prior to Marondo, Lisa Morkötter was interim CEO of a Swiss family office that focused on ESG-focused private equity and debt investments. In her free time, Lisa Morkötter teaches a master's course in financial statement analysis at the University of St. Gallen. She is a German and Swiss citizen and has spent almost equal amounts of time in both countries, where she has built an extensive network in the local business community.
