Mike Tremmel Bio

Mike Tremmel is Makena’s Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Mike is responsible for the oversight of the financial operations of the firm, managing all operational processes for the Makena investment strategies, including financial policies, audits, risk controls and service provider relationships. Prior to joining Makena in 2009, Mike was the Chief Financial Officer at Pantera Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund in San Francisco, where he oversaw the operational, trading, accounting, and tax functions. Before joining Pantera, Mike was Senior Audit Manager with Ernst and Young, where he served for six years in San Francisco and the Cayman Islands. Mike received a Bachelor of Management degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Lethbridge, Canada, and is a CPA in California (inactive) and British Columbia, Canada.
