John Burke Bio

Mr. Burke joined LS Power in 2006 and serves as a member of the Investment Team. Prior to joining LS Power, Mr. Burke was an Executive Director in CIBC World Markets’ Leveraged Finance/Sponsor Coverage Group, where he focused on leveraged buyouts and general acquisitions for private equity groups that specialized in power, energy and general infrastructure. Previously, he was a Director of Structured Finance with BZW, the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Bank PLC, where he specialized in domestic investor-owned electric utilities, independent power companies and infrastructure projects. Over his career, Mr. Burke has advised on, structured and arranged over $30 billion of power related financings in all layers of the capital structure. Mr. Burke received a B.S. in Finance from Villanova University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
