Michael Klein Bio

Mr. Klein co-founded Littlejohn in 1996 and served as president from inception through 2011, when he became the chief executive officer of the Firm. Mr. Klein has more than 25 years of private equity and special situation investing experience and has led many of the Firm’s successful investments. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Firm’s activities and serves on the Private Equity Investment and Distressed Securities Risk Oversight committees. Mr. Klein began his private equity career at Joseph, Littlejohn & Levy (“JLL”) before acquiring and serving as an executive officer of S&S Industries, a mid-size manufacturing business. Mr. Klein received a B.S. from New York University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
