Steve Aston Bio

Steve is responsible for delivering incremental value from both new and portfolio investments across LDC’s offices. He is a member of LDC’s Leadership Team, Investment Committee and Valuations Committee, and has significant experience in the industrials and engineering sectors. With more than 25 years’ private equity experience, Steve is one of LDC’s most experienced investors. He joined the firm in 2007 and has played a leading role in many of LDC’s most successful partnerships, including Texthelp, The NEC Group, AIM Aviation, Benson Box and MB Aerospace. His work has included supporting the management team at The NEC Group on its three-year transformation programme to enhance sites, facilities, customer experience and operational improvement across the Group’s facilities and events portfolio. Prior to joining LDC, Steve was Group CFO at Doncasters Group where he played a leading role in the financial restructuring and operational turnaround of the business post 9/11 and the Enron crash resulting in a successful exit to DIC.
