Jonathan Bell Bio

Jonathan is responsible for ensuring LDC continues to support the growth ambitions of businesses across the North. He works closely with the teams across Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Scotland to identify management teams that would benefit from private equity investment. He is also a member of LDC’s Investment Committee. Since joining LDC in 2006, he has supported the growth journeys of some of the North’s most exciting businesses including medical communications business Fishawack Health, workforce management software business Mitrefinch, SRL Traffic Systems, cloud services provider Giacom and manufacturer Mini-Cam. During the firm’s three year partnership with Fishawack Health, Jonathan supported CEO Oliver Dennis and his management team to deliver on their international vision providing £18.5m in follow-on funding to help the business extend its footprint across North America via acquisition, tripling its annual revenues. He also continues to support the firm’s portfolio of companies through his role as non-executive director at MSQ Partners, HSL Compliance and Eque2. An Economics and Finance graduate from Manchester University, Jonathan began his career at PwC, where he gained his ACA. He has more than 20 years’ corporate finance experience and joined LDC from Deloitte, where he was an assistant director for six years.
