John Gassner Bio

John is responsible for identifying management teams across London looking to grow their business with the support of a private equity partner. He works side-by-side with management throughout the investment partnership to help them to realise their growth ambitions. John joined LDC in 2021 from Pillarstone, a European corporate turnaround fund backed by KKR, where he was a founding partner. Prior to this John spent 17 years at RBS in various roles, including five years in the Strategic Investment Group, where he managed RBS’ equity investments, and eight years in leveraged finance. John has completed a number of equity investments including Jury’s Inn, Centeni, Miller Group, Algeco Scotsman, Norbain and Heath Lambert. John holds a degree in Economics & Politics from Keele University.
