Tian Ai Bio

Mr. Ai is a Managing Director at L Catterton Asia, based in Beijing. Prior to joining L Catterton, he spent over a decade with The Carlyle Group's Asia team, focusing on consumer investments across growth equity and leveraged buyout in Asia and co-investments with European and American sister funds. Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Ai was with TPG Capital’s Asia Buyout team and he started his career in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in Beijing and Hong Kong. Mr. Ai received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics-Economics from Wesleyan University where he was a Freeman Asian Scholar. He also serves on Wesleyan’s President’s Council and previously served on the Alumni Association Executive Committee.
