Christoph Lueneburger Bio

Mr. Lueneburger is the Talent Partner at L Catterton Portfolio Operations. Prior to joining L Catterton, he was a Managing Director at TowerBrook Capital Partners, where he built and led the firm’s portfolio talent strategy. Additionally, he directed the firm’s investment activities in German-speaking Europe and opened the Frankfurt office of TowerBrook. As co-chair of the firm’s Responsible Ownership Committee, he was a key architect in the B-Corp certification of TowerBrook and several of its portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Lueneburger was a Partner in Egon Zehnder’s New York office, where he led the firm’s global Private Equity Practice after founding its Sustainability Practice. Mr. Lueneburger started his career as an engineer in the U.S. and a boat builder in Canada before becoming President of a specialty materials manufacturer in Germany. Mr. Lueneburger earned his undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and in Mechanical Engineering and his Master’s degree in Fluid Dynamics from Purdue University, followed by an MBA from INSEAD. He is a fellow at The Aspen Institute and the author of “A Culture Of Purpose: How to Choose the Right People and Make the Right People Choose You” (Wiley).
