Mr. Scheer joined Kohlberg in 2017 and leads the Firm’s credit investing platform. Prior to joining Kohlberg, Mr. Scheer was a Portfolio Manager at LStar Capital, an affiliate of Lone Star Funds, for over five years focused on credit opportunities and special situations. Prior to that, he was with CIT Group, Inc. in its Problem Loan Management group, focused on restructurings and credit opportunities. Mr. Scheer started his career at Société Générale in the investment banking analyst program. Mr. Scheer received a B.Sc. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
