Vishal Patel Bio

Vishal Patel (Menlo Park) joined KKR in 2010 and is a Managing Director on the Healthcare team within the Americas Private Equity platform. He has played a role in the investments in Academy Sports + Outdoor, Biomet, Cardenas Markets, Dollar General, Envision Healthcare, Lemonade, PetVet, PRA Health Sciences, Upfield and US Foods. He currently sits on the board of directors of Academy Sports + Outdoor, Cardenas Markets, Envision Healthcare and PetVet. He previously served on the board of US Foods (NYSE: USFD) until KKR’s exit through the public markets in 2017. Prior to joining KKR, he was with Moelis & Company where he was involved in a variety of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. He holds a B.S. in economics, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
