Kazuyuki Kido Bio

Kazuyuki Kido (Tokyo) joined KKR in 2018 and is a member of the Private Equity team. Prior to joining KKR, he was head of the operations group at Simplex Holdings where he was engaged in MBO, LBO and secondary buyouts. From 1999 to 2006, he was president of Nikko Principal Investments Japan (the principal finance arm of Nikko Securities now known as SMBC Nikko Securities) and was involved in a number of investments such as Seibu Railways, Prince Hotel, Bell System 24, BBCall, Styling Life Holdings (Sony’s retail business group), Genesis Technologies and Tower Records Japan, where he also served as a board member for these companies. He holds a B.A. in Law from Meiji University, a J.D. from the University of the Ryukyus School of Law and completed judicial training at the Legal Training and Research Institute.
