Philip Carpenter III Bio

Philip M. Carpenter III is a Co-Managing Partner of Irving Place Capital. He has more than 25 years of private equity investing experience. Mr. Carpenter leads the industrial effort and is responsible for founding the firm’s packaging investment practice and Strategic Services initiative. He has led the origination, structuring and realization of numerous portfolio company investments with an emphasis on partnering with management teams to develop and execute long-term value-creation strategies. Prior to joining Irving Place Capital in 2002, he was with investment firms Brockway Moran & Partners, Inc. and Trivest, Inc. Mr. Carpenter started his career in the investment banking department of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.
