Carla Arellano is a seasoned business builder skilled in translating business strategy into talent and organization strategy and levers to accelerate value creation. Carla leverages a combination of strategic thinking, creative problem solving and operational execution to drive lasting change for companies and individuals. Her expertise lies in building high performing teams aligned around a shared vision, driving quick execution and achieving clear results. Most recently, Carla was an Operating Partner at Greyhound Capital, a growth equity fund based out of London. In this role, Carla was responsible for conducting due diligence on management teams to inform investment decisions and partnering with deal teams and portco’s C-suites to align talent, culture and organization design to achieve the investment thesis. Previously, Carla was a Partner in McKinsey’s People and Organization Practice and founding leader and COO of McKinsey’s OrgSolutions, serving clients on culture, organization design and talent. Under Carla’s leadership, OrgSolutions grew its top-line nearly 10x and the team from 20 to 200+ FTEs, serving 400+ clients annually. As a Partner, Carla led efforts with C-suite executives on talent strategy, growth strategy, culture transformation, M&A, and turnarounds. Carla has worked with clients in healthcare banking, retail, private equity, and technology globally, across North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Carla holds a BSFS from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She serves as an Ambassador to the Global Peter Druker Forum, leading research with the Forum on the evolution of management and leadership. Carla is passionate about cooking and travel and currently resides in New York City with her husband, two sons and Portie puppy, Rocket.
