William Schaar Bio

Mr. Schaar has a broad financial background. Prior to joining Horizon, he spent the past two years managing a family farming operation near Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to that, he served for eight years as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Church Pension Group for the Episcopal Church in the United States. He also managed a business assessment and advisory consulting company for two years. His earlier career included various financial positions at ARMCO, Inc., Brunswick Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Mr. Schaar is a graduate of DePaul University and received an MBA from the University of Chicago.
