Einar Gjelsvik Bio

Einar Gjelsvik joined HitecVision in 2014, from the position as interim CEO in one of our portfolio companies Verus Petroleum. Einar has been involved with all E&P transactions across all active funds and through the entire investment life cycle, as a member of the team that established CapeOmega and also the building up of today’s Vår Energi. He is currently focusing on development of NEO Energy and Sval Energy, through acquisitions and organic growth. Prior to joining HitecVision, Einar also served as CEO of Noreco, an independent E&P company focused on the North Sea region. Einar also has experience from BP in various positions in Norway and UK. Einar holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, an MBA in Business Administration and Strategic Management from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and is a CFA charterholder.
