Steven Batchelor Bio

Steven is a Partner and a member of Hg’s Board. In addition to his role overseeing all client (LP) facing activities, Steve sits on Realisation Committee and Valuation Committee. He was instrumental in the development of an active approach to PE fund management, still a rarity in the industry. He ensures that Hg balances its focus between investments and realisations and keeps the perspective of our LPs at the forefront of our thinking. Steve has been at Hg for over 20 years, after starting his career in corporate finance at Morgan Stanley. He sits on the senior leadership team alongside Matthew Brockman, Nic Humphries and Justin von Simson, and on the board of the LLP.
