Farouk Hussein Bio

Farouk focuses on the software and services space in North America, responsible for the Mercury fund in the region. Farouk joined Hg in 2023. He was previously a Founding Partner at SQN Investors where he helped build the firm’s private equity practice focused on structured and control investments in global software companies. Prior to SQN, Farouk spent over a decade at HGGC and JMI Equity, leading and serving on the boards of numerous enterprise software investments. He started his career in technology M&A at Union Square Advisors.
