Simon Poole Bio

Mr Poole brings to Helios broad finance and administration experience across a range of businesses in numerous African countries, with 35 years of relevant professional experience. Prior to joining Helios in August 2011, Mr Poole was a CFO with Intela Global Ltd, Lawson’s Corporation and Celtel International (in Burkina Faso, Chad and DRC). Earlier in his career he held finance and accounting roles with Price Waterhouse, Bank of America and BT. Mr Poole served on Boards of Directors of Crown Agents Bank, Helios Towers Africa, Vivo Energy, Interswitch and Fawry. Mr Poole received a BSc in Geography from Exeter University, UK. He is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr Poole speaks French.
