Steve Karasick Bio

Joining HealthEdge as an Operating Partner, Steve previously served as CEO of Infinity Homecare, a Florida-based provider of Medicare home health and therapy services. He also served as Executive Vice President of Integration and Chief Human Resources Officer at Piedmont Healthcare, a leading southeast regional healthcare system, where he led the system-wide strategy for integrating a $1.6 billion company with 11,000 employees, five hospitals, and over 100 locations. Before Piedmont, Steve was Senior Vice President of People and Technology at Stiefel Laboratories, Inc., where he directed significant acquisitions, including Connetics Corporation for $640 million in 2006, Barrier Therapeutics for $148 million in 2008, and ABR, a closely-held French aesthetics company in 2008. He was also directly involved in the global sale of Stiefel to Glaxo SmithKline for $3.6 billion in 2009. Outside of HealthEdge, Steve is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and serves as a member of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Annual Fund Board.
