Ryan Gunther joined HarbourVest in 2004 and focuses on buyout, venture capital, and credit partnership investments in the US and emerging markets. He serves on the advisory boards of several private equity partnerships including those managed by AE Industrial Partners, Alpine Investors, American Industrial Partners, Brightstar Capital Partners, Excellere Partners, Genstar Capital, Kelso & Company, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Odyssey Investment Partners, Nautic Partners, Pamlico Capital, Parthenon Capital, Sentinel Capital Partners, Spark Capital, SK Capital, Symphony Technology Group, Thoma Bravo, and Trive Capital. Additionally, Ryan serves as a member of the Philanthropic Board of Advisors for Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining the Firm, Ryan spent three years with Market Metrics, a Boston-based strategy consulting firm that advises senior managers at leading asset management and insurance firms. Ryan received a BA in Economics from Williams College in 2001 and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in 2010.
