Gonçalo Faria Ferreira Bio

Gonçalo Faria Ferreira joined HarbourVest in 2017 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments in EMEA. Gonçalo joined the Firm from Goldman Sachs in London, where he was most recently an executive director in the Investment Banking division. Prior to that, he held various roles at A.T. Kearney and Roland Berger in Lisbon. Gonçalo received a BS (with honors and distinction) in Economics from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2005, where he received the Caixa Geral de Depositos Award for the best student in Economics, and an MBA (with honors and distinction) from Columbia Business School in 2012, where he was awarded the Wall Street Journal Award for outstanding achievement in Finance. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
