Praneeth Wanigasekera Bio

Praneeth is a Principal in the Advantage Fund of H.I.G. Capital. Based in San Francisco, Praneeth is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, financing, and executing investments as well as helping portfolio companies with their growth and operational improvement efforts. Praneeth serves on several H.I.G. boards and focuses on investments in Software, Technology, Telecom, and IT Services. He has over a decade of experience in Private Equity and M&A. Prior to joining H.I.G., Praneeth was with Amazon’s research and development arm, Lab126, out of Cupertino and Sunnyvale. At Lab126, Praneeth focused on product development and international expansion for Amazon devices and corresponding software. Earlier in his career, Praneeth was in Bank of America’s Technology, Media, and Telecom investment banking group in New York. Praneeth received his M.S. and B.S. degrees, magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors in Computer Science from Yale University and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
