Alexander Thorn Bio

Alex is a private equity Principal in H.I.G.'s Miami office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and implementation of post-closing growth, operational and add-on acquisition strategies. With nearly a decade of private equity experience, Alex has made investments across a wide range of industries including business services, industrials, technology and consumer/retail in both the U.S. and Europe. Prior to joining H.I.G., Alex worked at Harvest Partners, a mid-market private equity firm, and at BHI Energy, where he led a variety of strategic initiatives. He began his career in M&A at Wells Fargo Securities. Alex earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in Operations Research & Financial Engineering.
