Anna May joined GTCR in 2003 and is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer. Anna May leads the finance, treasury, tax, portfolio valuation, investor reporting and technology functions. She is also a leader of several of GTCR’s initiatives related to improving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) both at the firm and portfolio company level, including serving as a member of the ESG-DEI Steering Committee, as Co-Lead of the firm’s DEI Council and as Co-Lead of the Women’s Leadership Group. Prior to joining GTCR, Anna May was a Partner at Ernst & Young, in the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice advising the private equity industry in the merger, acquisition and divestiture process primarily in the healthcare, TMT, financial services and growth business services sectors. During her time at EY, Anna May was involved in over 100 transactions. Anna May also led the TAS human capital initiatives for the Midwest region. Anna May is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Goldey Beacom College. Anna May is currently a director of Allspring Global Investments. Outside of GTCR, Anna May is active in the community serving on the boards of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago and America Needs You – IL Advisory Board.
