Marco Bassetti Bio

Marco is an Italian entrepreneur and manager. In 1986 he founded La Italiana Produzioni, realizing for the first time on the market new entertainment programs. In 1989 he created Aran, which quickly established itself as the leading production company in Italy. In 1997 he founded Endemol Italia, working as MD and Chairman, later sold successfully to Endemol Group. In 2007 he becomes COO of the Group, with responsibility for over 50 companies worldwide. He has finalized more than 30 successful acquisitions on international markets, reaching the leading position in the global market of TV formats. When the company decided to restructure the debt in 2009, the Group gave him the responsibility of CEO. Once the restructuring was successfully completed, he left Endemol and was appointed CEO of Banijay Group, one of the main players in the entertainment field, with a mandate to develop international growth. He is one of the most respected and well-known Angel investors and Venture capitalists in Italy: he launched, invested and participated in successful business projects in the digital sector, Gaming, Ecommerce, Food and Green Economy.
