Richard Albano Bio

Mr. Albano is a Co-Founder and Partner of Good Springs Capital as well as its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Good Springs Capital, which he joined in 2023, Mr. Albano was the CFO of Alleghany Capital Corporation, which he joined in 2017. At Alleghany Capital he oversaw the accounting, finance and risk functions of the entire portfolio, led value creation activities, and executed M&A transactions. He was a member of the board of directors of W&W|AFCO Steel and the audit committee chairman for multiple portfolio companies. Prior to Alleghany Capital Corporation, Mr. Albano was a partner in RSM’s transaction advisory services practice, where he led the industrials industry and was the national technical specialist for purchase agreement support. Prior to RSM, Mr. Albano was a senior manager in EY’s transaction advisory services practice and began his career in Andersen’s audit practice. Mr. Albano graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Accounting and holds an M.B.A in Finance from Seton Hall University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the states of New York and New Jersey.
