Kristin Johnson Bio

Kristin Johnson is a Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer at GIP. Based in New York, Ms. Johnson is responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of the firm’s global compliance program. Prior to joining GIP in 2022, Ms. Johnson served as Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer at J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC, a private equity firm focused on the financial services industry, where she spent over 15 years. She was also Principal and Chief Compliance Officer of J.C. Flowers’ affiliated broker dealer, J.C. Flowers Securities Co. LLC. Ms. Johnson began her career as an Associate in the Private Funds group of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she also worked on M&A and corporate securities matters. Ms. Johnson holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, having graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She also received a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, with honors.
