Chris Lanning Bio

Chris Lanning is a Managing Director and the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at General Atlantic. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. He manages General Atlantic’s global legal operations, which includes oversight of investments and dispositions, capital partnering, tax planning, risk management, and compliance. Before joining General Atlantic in 2000, Chris was a corporate lawyer associated with Hunton & Williams and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
