Michael McCulloch is a Managing Director, Head of Research, and a member of the Investment Committee at Gemspring Capital. Prior to Gemspring, Michael was a Partner at Providence Public, the crossover public/private fund of Providence Equity Partners, a global private equity firm. In his four years at Providence, Michael was responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including the sourcing, diligence, and execution of new investments. Prior to Providence, Michael was a Senior Analyst at ThornTree Capital where he focused on the media, telecom, and consumer sectors. Prior to ThornTree, Michael worked at Finepoint Capital, investing broadly across sectors, geographies, and asset classes. Michael began his investing career at Relational Investors, covering the industrials and materials sectors. Michael received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Vanderbilt University and an MA in Finance from Claremont McKenna College.
