Andrew Pickering Bio

Andrew has a career of over 31 years in the energy industry in Australia & Asia, beginning as a lawyer on many of Australia’s major energy privatisation projects in the 1990s, before moving to Asia with China Light & Power. He returned to Australia in 2003 to lead TRU Energy, CLP’s Australian energy business, which subsequently became Energy Australia. Andrew joined ICG in 2006 and has been responsible for, or overseen, the acquisition of many of the current assets in EIT, and was instrumental in the establishment of ARIF, which has now become one of Australia’s leading renewable energy funds. He is a senior spokesman within the Australian energy industry. Andrew is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, was a trustee of a major Australian pension fund for over 10 years and has been Chairman of ICG since 2014.
