Ben Leech Bio

Ben joined Equitix in 2009 and has 20 years experience in the fields of leading bids, planning and development, student accommodation, urban regeneration, social housing, and social infrastructure development. At Equitix, Ben has led Equitix’ successful strategy of becoming the market leading investor and developer of on-campus student accommodation with significant projects at the Universities of Durham, Leicester, York and Essex, amongst others. Ben also works across other forms of housing infrastructure projects such as social housing and extra care housing sectors. Prior to joining Equitix, Ben was Project Leader for Auckland Regional Council in New Zealand focusing on maritime infrastructure and urban regeneration. Prior to this, Ben was Regeneration Manager at the Riverside Group, one of the UK’s largest Housing Associations. Ben holds an MA in Modern European History from the University of Bradford and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
