John is a former partner at Kaufman & Canoles, where he chaired the Firm’s Commercial Section, with a specialization in private equity and M&A. Prior to joining K&C over 12 years ago, John worked in the structure finance group at Dewey Ballantine LLP in New York. John earned his law degree from William & Mary and his BA from Washington and Lee. John serves on a number of local boards, including the ODU Investment Committee and the 757 Angels Group.
