Prior to joining EMR Capital, Raza had 7 years’ experience covering the natural resources industry in both technical, operational and transaction roles with Fluor Corporation, Barclays and BNP Paribas. As a mechanical engineer, Raza was involved with the design and construction of gold, copper and iron ore projects for ASX-listed clients including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Regis Resources and Sandfire Resources. Raza’s transaction experience include mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance, debt advisory and project finance in the metals & mining, as well as the oil & gas, sectors. Raza was responsible for developing complex financial models, conducting due diligence and preparing investment papers, industry and financial analysis. Raza has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from The University of Western Australia.
