Matthew Lugar Bio

Mr. Lugar has more than 25 years of experience developing and maintaining strategic relationships for a variety of asset management firms. Mr. Lugar is responsible for expanding Drum’s footprint with global investors of all types and providing valuable updates and insights to our current base of partners. Mr. Lugar is a member of Drum Capital’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Drum, Mr. Lugar was a Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Partnerships at Starr Investment Holdings, the direct private equity arm of C.V. Starr & Co. Prior to that he spent more than a decade as Chief Marketing Officer at Gruss Capital Management, an event driven hedge fund. Mr. Lugar received his B.S. in Management Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
