Vivek Chhachhi Bio

Mr. Chhachhi assumed the role of Managing Partner in December 2022 prior to which he served as the Chief Investment Officer from December 2015. He is responsible for the firm's strategy, fund raising, managing the team and the firm's resources. Prior to December 2022, Mr. Chhachhi also led investments in healthcare and technology. Mr. Chhachhi is serving and has served on the boards of several portfolio companies of the Investment Advisor—Thyrocare, Nueclear, Thyrocare Gulf, Healthium Medtech, Natco, Veeda, Sekhmet Pharma and Anjan Drugs. Prior to joining the Investment Advisor in 2010, Mr. Chhachhi was a director with CVCI, where he had about 15 years of experience identifying, managing and exiting a large number of portfolio companies across IT, pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals, IT enabled services, financial services, auto, metals and mining, infrastructure, oil and gas services, media and textiles. Prior to joining CVCI, Mr. Chhachhi had two years of experience as an equity research analyst at a Citi-affiliated brokerage firm, Citicorp Securities & Investments Limited. Mr. Chhachhi has also served as a board member or an observer on the boards of several CVCI portfolio companies, including i-FLEX, Jubilant Organosys, Sasken Technologies, RelQ Software, Newgen Software, Himadri Industries, Techno Electric, IVRCL, Perlecan Pharma, International Tractors, Jai Balaji, and Globe Capital, among others. Mr. Chhachhi earned a Master's degree in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.
