Zack has spent the last 16 years of his career working with companies at the intersection of consumer, internet, and technology markets. Prior to co-founding Cove Hill, Zack spent 8 years at General Atlantic, where he helped lead the global consumer internet and technology investing efforts. While at GA, Zack was involved in 12 new investments, representing over $1.7 billion in deployed capital. His experience included serving as a director or observer for Red Ventures, A Place for Mom, Vox Media, Flipp and SessionM, participating in GA’s first technology investment in Southeast Asia (NYSE: SE) and working on over half a billion of capital invested in China across the internet and consumer areas. Zack was also named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for investing in the next great technology companies. In addition to his investment and portfolio leadership, he also co-led and architected the firm’s analyst-driven sourcing program. Prior to joining GA, Zack was an investment banker at Greenhill & Co. in the mergers & acquisitions group. When Zack is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Nancy, their two children and two Lhasa Apso dogs in the suburbs of New York City. Zack and his family also spend significant time in the Berkshires; Nancy is a student alumna and serves on the Board of Trustees at Jacob’s Pillow. Originally born near Washington D.C., Zack is an avid fan of D.C. sports teams. He is also a long-time ice hockey player, and now serves as President of the Scarsdale Youth Hockey Organization. Zack graduated summa cum laude (Beta Gamma Sigma) with a B.S. in economics from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
